The standard sled platform is used for many pieces of Moonbase equipment including the [[equipment:Excavator Sled]] and [[equipment:Dump Sled]].  The standard sled uses repulsors for lift and thrusters for propulsion and steering. 

The use of common parts simplifies maintenance, reduces the number of spare parts that must be stored, and general maintenance costs.
